Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Seeking Balance app ("the app"), operated by Jared Alderman ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Questions: support@jaredalderman.com.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.

2. What the app is — and isn't

Seeking Balance provides audio exercises and courses for the mental game of poker (focus, tilt, composure, and emotional regulation). It is for educational and self-improvement purposes only. It is not:

• medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment;
• gambling, betting, or financial advice, and it does not facilitate gambling;
• a guarantee of any particular result at the table or otherwise.

If you are struggling with your mental health or with gambling, please seek help from a qualified professional.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

4. Subscriptions, trial, and purchases

• The app offers a free trial that does not require payment information. When the trial ends, full access requires a paid subscription or lifetime purchase.
• We offer monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Billing is handled by Apple or Google. Refunds are subject to their policies; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.
• You can restore prior purchases in the app (You → Settings → Restore purchases).

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app and its content for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, distribute, record, resell, or publicly share the audio or other content.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no reverse engineering, scraping, sharing your account, circumventing access controls, or using the app unlawfully.

7. Content ownership

All audio, text, and other content in the app is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Feedback or ideas you submit may be used by us to improve the app without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be achieved.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use means you accept the changes.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
